Application Method of Tensile Test Machine
April 15,2022
A tensile test machine is a mechanical testing machine used to test the mechanical properties of materials such as static load, tension, compression, bending, shear, and peeling. Today, let's talk about the use of tensile test machines.
Power on
After confirming that the power connection and signal connection of the equipment is correct, start the machine according to the following sequence: tensile pull test machine → computer → printer.
Experimental operation process
- Install the fixture. Select the fixture according to the sample. If the fixture has been installed on the tensile pull test machine, check the fixture, and set the limit device according to the length of the sample and the spacing of the fixture.
- Open the tension machine software TM2101 of the instrument, click settings → online → COM1, and the port can be viewed and operated by right-clicking "my computer" - "properties" - "hardware" and "device manager".
- Click the setting item before test → selection of sample design data → modification (for the new test in the test part, select the corresponding test scheme, input the original user parameters of the sample: such as size, thickness, etc., and the gauge distance refers to the height)
- Click control scheme selection (compression ratio) → modify (select the corresponding test control scheme, input the test speed, shutdown mode, and other information)
- To clamp the sample, first clamp the sample on the collet close to one end of the force sensor, clear the force to eliminate the self-weight of the sample, and then clamp the other end of the sample. You can control the clamp distance by clicking the rise and fall of the machine or computer.
- Click start test, the equipment will test according to the test scheme set by the software, and save the test data after the test.
- After each sample is tested, the test results will be displayed at the lower end of the screen. Then click test result → test result selection (select or modify the required report parameters) and click "output word report" to generate the test report, print, or save it.
Shut down
- After the test, the operation shall be carried out in the following order: tensile pull test machine → printer → computer.
- After the experiment, cover the special cover of the instrument.
Precautions for tensile strength test machine
- During startup, the startup sequence of the host and the computer will affect the communication initialization setting of the computer, so the user must strictly follow the above startup sequence.
- Warm-up for 5 minutes after each startup. The test can be carried out only after the system is stable.
- If you just start up and need to start up again, ensure at least 1 minute.
- After replacing the fixture, first pay attention to adjusting the adjustable retaining ring (upper and lower limit switch).
- Especially when testing with a small force sensor, the position of the adjustable retaining ring must be adjusted to avoid damage to the small force sensor due to misoperation. Do not exceed the rated range of the sensor.
- Do not plug and unplug the power cord at any time, otherwise, it is easy to damage the electrical control part.
- During the test, do not stay away from the testing machine.
- During the test, do not press other keys on the control box except the stop button and emergency stop switch, otherwise the test will be affected.
- After the test, be sure to turn off all power supplies.
- This computer is specially used for the control and data processing of the testing machine. Please do not install other application software on the computer to avoid the application software of the testing machine from running normally.
- The computer shall exit step by step and shut down normally in strict accordance with the system requirements, otherwise, some programs will be damaged and the software cannot be used normally.
- Do not use the floppy disk of unknown origin or irrelevant to the machine to write or read the disk on the control computer of the testing machine, to avoid virus infection.
