How To Calibrate A Test Equipment?

There are various test equipments, i'd like to choose one of them to talk about the calibration steps, this article takes tensile test machine as an example.
Tensile Tester Calibration steps
Before begin calibration, please prepare the Calibrator as shown in the graph.
Step1: Remove the test fixtures:
Step2:Put the calibrator in the middle of machine load cell.
Step3:Turn on machine and calibrator, connect the machine to computer successful.
Step4:Click Setting and choose Calibration.
Step5:Input password: 888888, and click OK enter into calibration interface.
Step6:Choose Force Sensor
Step7:Input the load cell range as your machine capacity, if your machine load cell is 500kg, input 500kg here.
Step8:Click Clear to delete all numbers.
Step9:First calibrate 0 point, click Zero All, then put 0 in StandardLoad.
Step10:Click Snap to get a AD value.
Step11:When the load cell is about to contact the calibrator, control the running speed of the machine, set the running speed of the machine to 10min / mm, and let the machine slow down, while observing the force change on the calibrator.
Step12:The calibrator and machine will display load force as below ( for example: 258.9kg)
Step13:If you want to calibration this point, input 258.9 kg to Standardload, then click Snap, machine will get a AD Value automatically.
Step14: You better calibrate 0 point and 20% point of load cell range (for example, your load cell range is 2000kg, 20% point is 400kg ).Please don’t calibrate the load point exceed 60% of load cell range .(for example, the load cell range is 500Kg don’t calibrate exceed 300kg)
Step15:Click WirtetoChip, then click OK back to main interface of software.
Step16:Enter into calibration interface as above method again, click ReadFromChip to reach all calibration parameters to software, it will display successful, then click OK back main interface.
Step17:Finished calibration, you can use calibrator to check machine display is the same as device, if there are too much difference, please calibrate again as above method.
